My grandparents are buried in Section 14, Site 1017.  The endless rows of white grave markers are a really awe inspiring and humbling site.

The first thought that came to my mind was the incredible number of people that have put their lives on the line to protect our country and more often, other  countries and people groups.

The second thought that came to both my wife and I was how many people were out on this weekend to remember and honor their parents, grand parents, or other relatives or friends.  Events like memorial day remind me that there is a lot more right with this world than you sometimes think, and there are a lot of good people out there doing the right sorts of things just about every day.
